Selected from Kiowa and Hull varieties. Vigor of bushes is very high, growth habit semi-upright. Fruits are medium-large sized, have round shape. Berries are bright black, flavor tart to sweet with low acid. Firmness is good, easily removed from receptacle. Ripening mid- to late-season. Shuofeng blackberry recommended for machine harvesting for processing. Shuofeng is disease-resistant and has very good field tolerance to root rot.
