Navaho The Big Easy, selected by Lubera AG, is a good replacement variety for the original widely known Navaho cultivar. Like the original parent of the Navaho blackberry family, The Big Easy has a strong upright thornless stems.
This variety starts to bloom at the middle of June. The large leaves and the large white flowers of this variety are very pleasing. Begins to ripe about 10–14 days later as Navaho Big And Early, at the middle of July.
The black, elongated, slightly conical berries are about 30-50% larger than Navaho Big And Early and they are also much larger than the original Navaho. Berry's weight is 7-9 g, yield 2-3 kg. Despite the size, the entire fruit and the calyx are very pleasant to eat, they almost melt on the tongue. The Big Easy tastes great - it has a balanced ratio of sweetness and sourness and also a fine blackberry flavor.
