Blackberry Maple is variety from the Republic of Korea, received it's name by the shape of the leaves, which are long and splattered similar to the shape of the maple tree's leaf. This is artificial mutation (using radiation exposure) from other Korean variety Black V Three.
Blackberry variety Maple is trailing thornless floricane-fruiting variety with long canes (up to 5 m in length), canes are numerous and scattered up to 3 m in width. The leaf's quantity is low, so the fruit picking is lightened. Flowers of blackberry Maple have light pink color.
Harvest season starts at the middle of July, ends at the last week of August. The harvest season duration is about 45 days.
Average berry weight is about 7 g, max 12 g. Average yields are moderate, up to 7000 kg/ha. Fruit shape is long oval, drupelets is big. Taste is sour. Fruit malformation rate is less than the average of 15%.
